Last year was a really busy year full of many changes and lots of blessings. We are so thankful for our family and friends that God has blessed us to walk next to in this life. I will be sharing a glimpse into our lives during 2016!
Our hearts are overflowing with excitement and joy when football season is here. This year our whole Wehbey Crew was a part of the Red Bluff Jr. Spartans family and it was awesome!

  • Ryan was an Assistant Coach for the Jr. Pee Wees Team (Our son Ashden is on this team 😊)
  • I (Jennifer) was the Team Mom for the Jr. Pee Wee Team as well
  • Eli (14 years old) was a Jr. Coach on the Pee Wee Team & hired to film Jr. Midget & Midget Games (His very first job doing what he loves most!) Eli is also the Quarterback for the high school freshmen team so he was very busy this season while also maintaining a 4.0 GPA!
  • Caiden (12 years old) Quarterback for the Jr. Midget Team as well as right outside linebacker (ROLB) on defense.
  • Ashden (9 years old) Back up Quarterback for Jr. Pee Wee Team
  • Clarity (6 years old) first year cheer leading for the Mighty Mites Cheer Team (Our tiny Clarity was a Base and did amazing)

Miss Clarity Diane Wehbey fell in love with Cheer leading during her very first year on the Mighty Mite Cheer Team. She was absolutely amazing out there. She was not shy or nervous cheering in front of the crowd during half time or on the sidelines. She LOVED every minute of it. She also couldn't wait to practice! Those 3 nights a week were her favorite and I was thinking she may get tired at some point and just want a break but nope, she loves dancing and cheering everyday!
She can do the splits both ways, a back walk over and a cart wheel to die for. This little 6 year old is amazing in this Mommas eyes for sure!💜

Ashden Dwaine Wehbey just finished his 3rd year of football. We are so proud of him for his strength and dedication. Ashden's birthday is in October right at the cut off point where he was made to move up last year (2015 season) to a bigger, older aged team. He was a 2nd grader and their were literally 5th graders on the team with him that were in hitting drills that he had to go up against. This was hard for me to hear and my husband to watch. At times we considered pulling him off the team but he isn't a quitter and worked hard and finished the season. Going into the 2016 season Ashden didn't want to play football anymore. We wondered if the last season had ruined it for him and totally supported him either way. We are not the kind of parents to make our children play a sport that they do not like. Although inside we hoped and prayed he would someday want to play again. Well our prayers were answered double. First when our children got accepted into the wonderful school district that we had been waiting and praying for while homeschooling (I miss homeschooling my babies!) and then upon starting school Ashden was put in a class with his friend that also plays football. They talked about football ALL the time, read books about it, drew football pictures and before I knew it Ashden was asking if he could sign up for football. We had already missed football sign ups and the team was full with quite the waiting list. We added him to the waiting list and prayed daily that he would get to be on the team. Sure enough two spots opened up, they did a drawing and Ashden's name was drawn to be added to the team. Woo Hoo!!!!!! This year (2016) he was still considered in the small group as his younger year on the team even though it was his second year; because he will actually end up playing 3 years on the Jr. Pee Wee team instead of the normal 2 years. His 2016 year was decent but he got the minimum 8 plays a game which is not too fun, so we are praying for a 1st string spot for him to enjoy his big year on the 2017 Jr. Pee Wee team. God is so good and I have faith the 2017 year will be absolutely amazing!

Caiden Ross Wehbey is such a strong boy, literally when I think of Caiden I think "STRONG!" Emotionally and physically since he was born! The 2016 year brought some challenges that were super scary. As I broke down my boy stood strong saying over and over, "It's going to fine, Mom I'm ok!" I will go into detail more in another post about this trying time but through it all Caiden was/is super strong. Playing football means a lot to this boy and he enjoys every minute of it! He maintained straight A's the whole time while playing sports and having the weight of doctor appointments, physical therapy and wondering what was going to happen. He is such a smart, strong, silly absolutely amazing boy. His hopes and dreams are to play college football and beyond and this season of football was amazing! He ran an awesome touchdown against Shasta, caught an interception against Corning and threw several touchdown passes to name just a few highlights. Watching this boy play warms my heart and I cannot wait to watch him play his very last season on the Jr. Spartans Midget team this year (2017) before moving onto high school!

Eli Mathew Wehbey has a passion for football that is unexplainable! He studies it online, in books, football camps, practices almost daily outside, works out and trains harder than anybody I know! He is focused on playing college football and I believe in my heart that's exactly what he will do. He works so hard in school and out of school to push towards his goals and dream of playing football college and beyond. This was his first year of high school and is rockin' it. He recieved 4.0 honor roll his first semester so far with an award for outstanding scholarship in academics and athletics. He was honored and blessed to be QB of his Fresman football team, coach on the Pee Wee team for Jr. Spartans football, work his first job (filming the Jr. Midget and Midget football games) and doing this all while maintaining a 4.0, drumming on the worship team at church and helping work with his brothers in training for football. He has a big heart, is super passionate, talented and smart and I can't wait to see what God has planned for Eli in 2017!

What a blessing to have 3 big brothers to protect you your whole life. 💜
